Vergaser Nadel Mikuni TM 38, VM 30-38

Original Mikuni type 6 replacement needle: suitable for Mikuni TM 38 and VM 30-38 carburetors. All Mikuni needles available as an aftermarket replacement can be found on the product page: if the required needle is not shown, it is either discontinued or available only as an OEM replacement. The tapered needle is held in place on the throttle valve by the retaining seeger. The tapered form of the needle allows the clearance between needle and jet to increase when the throttle control is opened: when the volume of air increases, the volume of gasoline also increases so that the correct stoichiometric ratio is maintained. The position of the needle fixing seeger is used to change the air/fuel ratio between the 1/4 and 3/4 position of the throttle valve. The position of the seeger can be raised or lowered on the needle: to enrich the fuel mixture, the seeger is lowered, raising the needle while to thin the mixture it will suffice to raise the seeger, so as to lower the needle.
